A theatre production which helps brings World War One to life for a new generation comes to Knowsley next month.

A November Day, presented by Thingumajig Theatre, comes to Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park on Saturday, October 18 at 1pm. Using evocative puppet characters, live music and an ever-changing set, this is a thought-provoking show, guaranteed to captivate audiences both young and old.

The play tells the tale of a woman who discovers forgotten boxes in an attic, which contain some of her grandfather’s belongings. From what she finds inside, she is able to piece together the incredible story of what happened to him during World War One.

A November Day is a timeless fable about war and the miracle of friendship, even when all seems lost.

Tickets are priced at £8 for adults and £6 for children and concessions. Large parties will get one free ticket with every 10 purchased. To book, go online to www.knowsley.gov.uk/tickets, call 0151 443 2200 / 2575 or call into the Leisure and Culture Park in person.

Created in association with The Imperial War Museum it aims to be an entertaining and educational experience that will stay long in the minds of its audience.
