Welcome to Leisure and Culture

Volunteering
We can provide opportunities for volunteering, from working within your own youth club or project to volunteering in the wider community. You can also have your voluntary work recognised and accredited through a number of award schemes:
- The Duke of Edinburgh Gold and Platinum award schemes. If you are undertaking the Duke of Edinburgh at this level you can use your volunteering experience to fulfil one section of the award.
- The Youth Achievement award recognises any volunteering you undertake as one of the challenges of this award.
- There are a range of other awards including skills for working life and getting connected.
Find out more about the different award schemes.
Training
Knowsley Youth Service, in partnership with Knowsley Council for
Voluntary Services (KCVS) and Millennium Volunteers, has developed
a volunteer strategy that ensures all volunteers are offered
training, support and guidance.
If you are interested in any of the above opportunities please contact us.
Other volunteering opportunities
There is
also the opportunity to volunteer in other areas of the country and
overseas. There are specialist organisations that are set up to
manage this type of volunteering. Contact us for more details.
