In 1998, the Millennium Commission and the Countryside Agency agreed to create up to 250 Millennium Greens throughout the United Kingdom. Valley Millennium Green is one of four that have been created in Knowlsey. Valley Millennium Green has been created on land leased by Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council to the Valley Millennium Green Trust.

• Car Parking is available on Winifred Road
• The site is fully wheelchair accessible and has a surfaced circular route
