Access Tools

Whether you are an educational, leisure or business user, you'll be amazed at IT facilities available in Knowsley Libraries. Anyone who is a member of the Library Service may use the facilities free of charge.

Visit any of our libraries and you will find a suite of Internet ready computers with a wide range of learning packages, sources of information and CD-ROMs.

All our computers have Microsoft Office, an easy to use program able to address all your needs from word processing to colourful presentations.

We also have computer based learning packages so that you can acquire practical, useful skills in a wide range of subjects such as languages, keyboard skills and using computers.

Please note:

• Disks are supplied free of charge and will be kept in the library for when you visit (disks not used for 3 months will be wiped clean and re-used)
• Do not store information on the hard drive
• Inform staff before printing/using scanner (printing fee charged)
• Internet access will be supervised
• All site visits are recorded
• Last booking commences 45 minutes before closing (ensure you print documents at least 15 minutes before closing
• Inform staff of faulty equipment
• Eating/drinking is not allowed in the learning resource centre
• We are not able to take responsibility for any lost documents
• Where earphones are provided, they must be worn.
