Housebound outreach
The housebound library service is
available to anybody who cannot use
their local library, because of a
disability or a health problem.
We have an extensive range of titles, in normal print, large print and talking books. You can request specific authors, titles or subjects and our staff will be pleased to help.

We provide an number of useful tools to make life easier when reading:
- Bookrests if you have difficulty holding heavy books
- Bar magnifiers to enlarge print
- Tape machines to play talking books
Each new member will be visited by one
of our helpful members of staff who
will explain about the service and
find out what books you like to read.
We will then visit you once every 4 weeks at the same time and on the same day, when your books will be exchanged.
If you feel you may benefit from this service then contact us using the details below.
