£1m Fund to Boost Small Businesses in Merseyside
The Liverpool Echo has launched a £1m fund to boost small
businesses and create jobs across Merseyside. Knowsley
Council would like to encourage our businesses to
apply. The cash is part of the Government's Regional Growth
£2.4bn fund and is designed to help Small and Medium sized
businesses grow and create new jobs.
Businesses are encouraged to apply from the following sectors
(however, applications are open to all businesses who are looking
to expand);
- Life Sciences
- Digital & Creative
- Maritime, Financial &
Professional
- Environmental and
environmental
technologies

Some of the criteria is as follows;
- Business must be a Small or Medium Sized
Enterprise
- Creating Jobs
- Contribute at least 50% of the project cost
themselves
- Cost per job created must not exceed £5,000
of grant
Businesses are asked to submit an online expression of interest
form outlining the project, cost and jobs created, after which they
will be invited to submit a full application including
business plan to the Liverpool Echo.
