The Merseyside Apprenticeship Programme

The Merseyside Apprenticeship programme is part of a drive to create more than 10,000 apprenticeship positions across the City Region.

Through the Programme one hundred apprenticeship positions are for grabs across Knowsley, Liverpool and Sefton, offering local young people opportunities in some of the fastest growing business sectors of the future; in occupations as diverse as accountancy, joinery, ICT, engineering, photography and catering.

The programme will see employers given financial support towards the cost of their apprentice and training, and candidates will be given a two-year paid apprenticeship and the opportunity to gain up to an NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject as well as invaluable work experience.

At the end of the programme most of the apprentices will be offered permanent employment at their placement company, setting them on a road to a long and successful career.
