Knowsley Electronic Tendering

Knowsley Council's Business Liaison Team are offering all businesses in Knowsley a FREE targeted tender alert service.

 

Knowsley Events Team

The events team organises events and activities all over Knowsley.  The best known is probably the Knowsley Flower Show, but there are smaller events happening throughout the year.

 

Knowsley Works

Knowsley Works supports local businesses by providing an innovative approach to your recruitment needs.  We have developed highly successful programmes to bridge the skills gap between your requirements as employers and potential employees in the local area.  By identifying these gaps the Knowsley Works Team, partners organisations and training providers have been able to develop individual packages for a wide variety of businesses within Knowsley.

 

Knowsley Family and Community Education Service (FACE)

FACE offers a wide range of training courses at several sites in Knowsley.

 

Knowsley Chamber of Commerce

Knowsley Chamber delivers accredited services for members and other businesses which improve their profit and increase their efficiently.  In addition to providing opportunities for contact and trade between members, the Chamber also represents members needs and views at local, national and international level.

 

Rainey Day

Every year International Day of Disabled people is celebrated on 3rd December.  Knowsley began to celebrate this event in 2006, with the blessing of his family to dedicate the day to the late John Rainey.

 

Knowsley Community College

In 1990 Kirkby College of further education which was founded some fifty ago, merged with Knowsley Central Tertiary College to form Knowsley Community College a national leader in education, having attained Beacon College Status.

 

Myerscough Community College

Built on the site of the old Myerscough Hall, some six miles north of Preston, Myerscough College is a land-based higher and further education college dating back to the 19th Century.

 

Shaw Trust

Shaw Trust is a national charity that provided training and work opportunities for people who are disadvantaged in the labour market due to disability, ill health or social circumstances.  It is the largest voluntary sector provider of employment services for disabled people in the UK.

 

Inbiz

Inbiz was established in 1990 and has grown to become a respected market-leader in its field.  Operating from strategic locations across the UK, the company focuses on enterprise creation and neighbourhood regeneration.  InBiz became part of Avanta Enterprise Ltd in 2006.

 

Action for Blind People

Action for blind people is an expert national organisation.  Ensuring blind and partially sighted people receive practical support in all aspects of their lives.

 

Creative Space

If you are a new or existing business Creative Space wants to hear from you.  You could be working in art, design, performing arts, broadcasting, web design, photography in fact any area or creativity.

 

Prime

The PRIME initiatives provides free information, events and training to help people get back into work by starting their own business - also known as 'becoming self-employed'.
