This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and committed manager who can support a team of Social Workers to deliver excellent outcomes for children and young people.

Children Looked After Team Manager:

For the role you will need:

·        HCPC Registration

·        A Social work qualification

·        A minimum of four years post qualification experience working with Children and Families

·        Supervisory experience

·        Commitment to improving outcomes for children

·        Resilience and motivation

·        Excellent leadership qualities

You will support all practitioners to become confident in their practice, produce good quality  social work and to continue to develop their professional skills.

We are looking for aspiring and experienced team managers. Whilst experience is important, having the right set of skills and values is vital. As such, if you like a challenge and are ambitious for children, young people, their families, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

Team Managers will be responsible for the management, development and leadership of a social work team in order to safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable children, young people and their families/carers by delivering high quality services that address need and lead to improved outcomes, whilst managing the reputation of the Service and the Council.

You will ensure that the Service responds to new challenges, priorities and requirements whist maintaining the Council’s statutory obligations and using resources in the most effective manner.
