Houses in Multiple Occupation are premises occupied by more than one household, and can be anything from a student shared property to premises converted to self-contained flats with shared kitchens and bathrooms.

The Council is committed to protecting the health, safety and welfare of all residents who live in premises which fall under this category and we carry out regular inspections to ensure that basic standards of fitness and safety are maintained.
