Welcome to Housing

Accommodation certification
If you live in housing association or
private rented accommodation which is
unsafe or requires urgent repairs, you
should in the first instance contact
your Housing provider or Landlord.
If you are dissatisfied with the repairs service provided by your Housing Association or Landlord, Knowsley Council's Environmental Health and Consumer Protection Division can provide advice on what repairs should be undertaken, and how you can ensure that any necessary repairs are completed.
In certain circumstances, the Council may even be able to take enforcement action against Landlord organisations who refuse to bring their properties up to the legal standards.
If however your property is regarded to be unfit for habitation, the matter will be referred to the Councils Housing Renewal team for action.
