When major works are carried out to your home we try to arrange them so you can remain in your home whilst the works are being carried out.

In the unlikely event that you have to leave your home temporarily, we will charge you the same rent you would have paid if you remained in your home.

Temporary accommodation would be arranged having regard for your needs. You might be entitled to a disturbance allowance.

Decoration and disturbance allowance

A decoration allowance is a payment given to a tenant for one of the following reasons:

• a new tenant going into their new home
• following major repairs or programmed works within their home e.g. re- plastering

Each association will have their own arrangements for carrying out repairs to properties and their own arrangements when calculating if a decoration allowance is payable and if so how much.
