Knowsley's Supporting People vision is to promote people's independence by delivering good quality, good value housing-related support services to those who need them. This is based on a clear strategic plan and effective partnerships between local stakeholders.

A Core Strategy Development Group includes representatives from:

• Knowsley Council's Strategy and Regeneration department and Community and Social Services
• Knowsley Primary Care Trust
• Merseyside Probation
• Other stakeholders representing service users and providers

The members of this group are responsible for overseeing the work of the Supporting People team and ensuring that systems and policies are in place. It is also responsible for the Supporting People Strategy and developing links to other strategies, plans and services.
