If you have to go into hospital or some other form of short-term residential care, you will need someone to look after your pet.

The most common option is to ask family, friends, or a good neighbour to help. If not, there are a number of pet care associations operating in the borough that can provide boarding facilities. Your local social care team may be able to help you arrange pet care although the costs will usually remain your responsibility.
