The hot meals service, run by Social
Services, delivers hot meals to people
across the borough who have been
assessed by the Social Work Team.
The service is operational 365 days per year. People can choose any combination of days to receive the service, for example:

- full 7 days
- Monday / Wednesday / Friday only etc...
The following dietary requirements are catered for:
- Diabetic
- Low Fat
- Low Salt
- Gluten Free
- Soft Diet
- Vegetarian
There is a charge for the service, and
this is separate from any other
charges for services - this means that
everyone has to pay for the service
they receive.
The meals themselves are provided to us by a company who specialise in frozen meals, and they are delivered as frozen, individual meals. They are then heated up and loaded in to hot boxes in vans to be delivered throughout the borough by a team of drivers.
