Welcome to Health and Social Care

Alarms for the elderly and disabled
Community alarms are built in alarm systems for people and
carers of any age who feel at risk in their homes because of age,
disability, isolation, illness or vulnerability.
A special alarm unit is connected to your telephone line, with a
built in button, which you press to call for assistance.
Your alarm call will be answered by a highly trained operator who
will be able to speak to you without you having to lift the
telephone receiver. In an emergency, the alarm operator will
contact your next of kin and/or the appropriate emergency
service.
The alarm can also be activated by a pendant which is worn around
the neck or on a wrist band. The range of the pendant allows use
around the house and garden.
There is also a range of other sensors that can be attached to the alarm unit, including:
- Falls Detectors
- Smoke alarms
- Bogus Caller Alarms
- Flood Detectors
- Natural Gas alarms
- Pull cords
- Chair and Bed Occupancy Sensors
- Property Exit sensors.
This list is not exhaustive but highlights some of the other sensors that are available in the range. See our FAQs for further information.
You do not need to be in receipt of any formal health or social
care. Just download the referral form and send it to Home Care Link by
post, email or fax to the address below.
All equipment is supplied free of charge and includes installation
and maintenance, however you will be required to pay a nominal
monitoring charge.
