Children's hospices provide respite and terminal care for children suffering from life-limiting conditions in a home- from-home environment. Care is provided for the child and their family at no cost to them for as long as is necessary, including post bereavement support.

The following hospices are located within Merseyside:

• Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice – Yew Tree Lane, West Derby, 0151 228 0353
• Claire House – Clatterbridge Road, Bebington, Wirral, 0151 334 4626

The hospices are run by different charities, they organise fund-raising activities to pay for the care they provide.

You can ask your doctor, health visitor or social worker to refer you to a hospice, or you can contact the hospice yourself.
