Child protection - advice for young people
If you need help for yourself or a
friend because of abuse or neglect, you
should speak to an adult you trust.
Children and young people have the right to proper care and should not be abused by adults or other children.
Teachers, doctors, nurses, social workers and other adults who work with children are responsible for helping to stop abuse. They will listen to what you have to say and will work with other professionals to protect children from abuse and neglect.
You can speak to a social worker specially trained to help children. The telephone numbers of the Social Services Offices are as follows:

The Police and other organisations
