The pharmacist role is to provide
specialist advice on medicines,
especially where older people are
taking a number of prescribed items.
The pharmacist is also available to other professionals and to older people themselves to give advice and counselling, in addition to liaising with GP’s in respect of reviewing medication and any recommendations for changes.
Referral to the pharmacy advisor is via your GP or other health professional.
