Knowsley Department of Health and Wellbeing links closely to the Drug and Alcohol Team, Knowsley Primary Care Trust, ASK (Alcohol Services Knowsley) Merseycare NHS Trust and Lighthouse Project in providing a coordinated service for people experiencing the effects of alcohol dependency.

Accessing alcohol services

Knowsley's Drug and Alcohol Social Work Team are a Borough wide service who provide assessment, support, advice and information to individuals whose alcohol misuse is problematic and who do not easily access exsisting services. The service also offer assessment for residential rehabilitian services, advice and information to families/carers. Referrals can be made to Knowsley's Drug and Alcohol Social Work Team - Telephone 443 5626. Or alternatively, you can fill in the online application form below.

ASK (Alcohol Services Knowsley)

ASK provides specialiast community interventions via structured Brief Treatment clinics within GP surgeries around the Borourgh of Knowsley. Referrals can be made either by self, GP, nurse or any other Health or Social Care Professional. ASK also provides a link to specialist services at the Windsor Clinic. The Windsor Clinic provides support, detoxification and short term in- patient rehabilitation.
