Leisure and social activities
Huyton Learning Disability Service
encourages people to take control of
their own lives and live as
independently as possible.
It supports people to make use of community based leisure facilities on a regular basis as well as encouraging opportunities for meaningful occupation and employment. It also aims to develop clients personal skills to take part in their local communities.
Westvale Resource Centre helps with personal care, life skills, and confidence. The centre works to open doors so that people can go to college, find work and take up hobbies and leisure activities.
The Centre now supports people in their own homes, offering a respite service.
