Disabled Facilities Grant
If you or someone living in your
property is disabled you may qualify
for a disabled facilities grant
towards the cost of providing
adaptations and facilities to enable
you/the disabled person to continue to
live there.
An assessment of your needs will be made, usually by an occupational therapist from social services. Examples of the type of work may include:

- widening doors and installing ramps to help you get in and out of your property
- installing a stair lift or providing a downstairs bathroom
- installing a walk-in shower
- adapting heating or lighting controls to make them easier to use
