Mental health

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health problem of any kind, you should seek advice from your GP in the first instance.

Specialist mental health services in Knowsley are provided in partnership with:

• Mersey Care NHS Trust - providing services and support to Knowsley residents in the Kirkby area.
• The 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Trust - providing services and support to Knowsley residents in the Huyton, Prescot, Cronton and Halewood areas.

Mental Capacity Act

This act provides the legal framework for making decisions on behalf of individuals who lack the mental capacity to make decisions for themselves.

It also helps people to plan ahead in case they may not be able to make important decisions in the future.
