Telecare monitoring charges
If you are having a lifeline alarm installed
in your home, the council will pay for the equipment and
installation costs. However, you will need to pay ongoing
monitoring charges. The charges vary, depending on which
lifeline option you have chosen. These are as follows:
Level 1
You pay £1 per week for level 1 package.
Level 2
- Lifeline unit
- Pendant
- Environmental sensors (bogus caller alarm, smoke detector,
flood detector)
You pay £1 per week plus 30p per week for each
environmental sensor.
Level 3
- Lifeline unit
- Pendant
- Lifestyle sensors (wandering alarm, bed sensors, chair
sensors)
You pay £1 per week plus 70p per week for each
lifestyle sensor.
Level 4
- Lifeline unit
- Pendant
- Combination of environmental and lifestyle sensors from levels
2 and 3.
You pay £1 per week plus 30p per week for each
environmental sensor and 70p per week for each lifestyle
sensor.
