Full time students who started a course before
September 2006
If you started your course before September
2006, the main sources of financial support are:
- Higher Education Grant and Tuition Fee
Grant
- Student Loan for Maintenance
- Fee Contribution Loan
Any financial support you receive through a
Student Loan or a Fee Contribution Loan doesn’t have to be paid
back until you’ve finished your course and you are earning at least
£15,000 a year. Grants don’t have to be repaid at all.
Full time students who started a
course in September 2006 or later
If you started your course on or after
September 2006, the main sources of financial support are:
- Student Loan for Tuition Fees
- Student Loan for Maintenance
- Maintenance Grant or Special Support
Grant
- Bursaries and Scholarships
Any financial support you receive through a
Student Loan or a Fee Contribution Loan doesn’t have to be paid
back until you’ve finished your course and you are earning at least
£15,000 a year. Grants and bursaries don’t have to be repaid at
all.
