School meals

Knowsley school meals are great value for money and provide your
child with a nutritious, tasty meal cooked fresh every day.
Why choose school meals?
- They are nutritionally balanced to ensure that they low in fat,
sugar and salt and high in vitamins and minerals - healthier than
many packed lunches
- A hot meal at lunchtime provides energy helping young people
concentrate throughout the school day, and encourages them to try
new foods
- Young people learn the social skills that eating and
interacting with others brings
- They’re great value for money; at £1.70 for a primary school
meal (£1.75 – secondary school free school meals allowance), the
cost of a school meal can work out cheaper than a packed
lunch
Making mealtimes fun
We organise an exciting programme of themed lunchtime events
throughout the school year. Check with your child’s school for
details.
