Admissions to school September 2013 – Policy consultation

Many schools can accept all those children who apply.

In a number of cases, however, schools have more applicants than places and need apply an admission policy to see which children should be admitted.

A consultation is underway on the admission policies to be used in relation to September 2013 admission. The policy for all community and voluntary controlled schools is available here.  Details of how to respond are given on the consultation page.

For individual Catholic, joint faith and most Church of England schools, the policies are individual and are obtainable from the school or on their own website, and are also available on this website. (Some schools may not be consulting if they are making no changes, but will have a copy of the policy available if you are keen to see it.)

Responses should be made direct to the governors of the school.

The closure date for the consultation is 28 February 2012 .
