Safer Recruitment in Schools
From 1st January 2010 a national requirement came in to force
which requires all recruitment panels to school based posts to
include one person trained to the appropriate level in Safer
Recruitment. A letter was sent to all Chairs on 1 December to
confirm this requirement and provided details of the new provider -
The Children’s Workforce Development Council - for the on line
training
which is now available via their website. In
view of the importance of this Governor Support strongly recommends
that governing bodies regularly review which governors have
accessed the training to ensure compliance.
