Teenage pregnancy

The Knowsley Teenage Pregnancy Strategy aims to half the number
of under 18 pregnancies by 2010 and to assist young parents to
return to work or full-time education.
It is made up of many organisations who work with young people,
such as the Youth Service, Connexions, NCH Leaving Care Service,
Social Services, Healthy Schools and others.
The strategy focuses on four main areas:
- Improving contraceptive advice and information services
- Improving support for teenage parents
- Improving media and communication links
- Improving prevention and education services throughout
