Service?
We are a free, impartial service that aims to help all families
find information, advice and support, when they need it, were they
need it.
How can we help?
With so much information about, it can sometimes be difficult to
know where to start or who to contact to find exactly what you
need. This is where the Childcare Information Service can
help.
What can I expect
when I contact the service?
When you contact CIS you will receive a friendly and
professional service and we guarantee that your enquiry will be
treated in confidence and with respect. We will do our very
best to answer all your questions and provide you with any useful
publications, we will also signpost you to other services that may
be able to support you if you need further help.
What kind of
information can I get from the service?
We can provide you with expert advice on childcare, nursery
education, primary and secondary school admissions, children's
centre activities and how to register as a child minder or set up a
childcare business. To give you an idea of how we can help
