Schools environmental challenge

Does your school want to help the environment? Got some great ideas for an environmental project, but need some money to get started?

Why not enter the Schools Environmental Challenge and win up to £1000 to help 'do your bit' for the environment and your school.

The judges will be looking for innovative and sustainable projects that help to raise environmental awareness within the school.

To help you decide on a project here are some ideas...

  • Set up a recycling or waste minimisation scheme within the school.
  • Healthy living initiative - snacks that do not produce litter.
  • An energy saving project.
  • Eco Schools - start-up and promote the scheme and raise whole school awareness.
  • Walk to School - reduce air pollution and traffic accidents by developing a 'walk to school' project.
  • Creative environmental project - using the arts to raise awareness of the environment / science.
  • Modern technology - using computer software to develop a project and promote environmental education.
Entry Checklist
