Recycling centres and collection points
Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority operates two Household Waste
Recycling Centres in Knowsley. There is one centre in Huyton and
one in Kirkby, the centres are open every day except Christmas Day,
Boxing Day and New Years Day.

1 April to 30 September 8am to 8pm
1 October to 31 March 8am to 5pm

- Recycled goods franchise
Materials accepted
Car batteries, cardboard, engine oil, garden waste, paper,
furniture, rubble, scrap metal, textiles, drinks cans, timber,
glass, soils. Fridges and freezers can only be recycled at the
Huyton depot.
