• Home composting scheme

Knowsley Council has teamed up with the other Merseyside authorities to become a partner with the Recycle Now Home Composting Scheme run by WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme).

Composting is nature's way of recycling and helps to reduce the amount of waste we put out for collection. By composting fruit and vegetable peelings and garden materials you can easily improve the quality of your soil and be well on your way to a more beautiful garden.

The scheme means that Knowsley residents can order a range of compost bins and accessories at a reduced price, including free home delivery. Compost bins start from £17 and can be ordered by phone on 0845 077 0757 or online.
