How do I know when you will collect my items?

When you make your booking online you will be contacted by the Customer Services Team within 2 working days to arrange a collection date. If you call 443 2400 a customer services advisor will confirm a date with you immediately.

We aim to provide this service within 7 working days of your request. We do not specify a time for the collection. Items will be collected anytime between 7am and 2.30pm on the agreed day of collection.

Where do I leave items for collection?

Items for collection should be left outside the front of your property, clearly labelled. The items must be available for collection from 7am on the collection day.

Unfortunatley we cannot remove items from inside a house, garage or shed. Collectors cannot disconnect any appliances or dismantle furniture.

Why did you not collect my items?

If it is after 2.30pm on the day arranged for your collection we may have been unable to remove the items for the following reasons:

  • No access to items - At the time of the booking you would have been instructed to leave the items in an accessible place at the front of the property. If this was not possible you should call our customer contact centre on 0151 443 2400 to discuss possible alternative arrangements.
  • Additional items - Our crews are instructed to remove only those items on the booking sheet provided. This is to ensure that they do not mistakenly remove any items not meant for us. The collections are managed to ensure that all items will fit in to the wagon therefore please do not take offence if we refuse to take any additional items at the time. Wherever possible, all items should be clearly labelled.
  • Please click on the link below if you would like to request any additional items for collection or call 0151 443 2400.

I live in a high rise block of flats. How are my bulky items collected?

The council provides a weekly collection service to all high rise properties in the borough. Please contact your caretaker to arrange for removal of your bulky item to the designated collection point at ground level.
