Access Tools

As part of the Local Development Framework (LDF) the council has prepared its Householder Development supplementary planning document. This complements the provisions of policiy H8 of the Unitary Development Plan.

The purpose of the document is to advise householders and their agents of the guidelines for house extensions. It also provides advice on how to enhance the appearance of domestic extensions but still maintain the character and amenity of the neighbourhood.

Knowsley Council adopted its Householder Development supplementary planning document on 7 November 2007. You can view the document, and other associated documents, below. Please note that the Householder Development supplementary planning document will be amended in due course, with new illustrations providing good practice design.
