Housing constraint policy
Council revokes the Interim Housing Constraint Policy
In order to reflect changes to national planning policy for
housing and provisions in the emerging Regional Spatial Strategy
(RSS) for the northwest of England, on the 20 February 2008 the
council revoked the Interim Housing Constraint Policy, which was
introduced in March 2005.
All planning applications for housing development will now be
determined by the Development Control service in accordance with
the Knowsley Replacement Unitary Development Plan (June 2006) and
any other relevant material considerations, in the usual way.
