If you are planning to carry out demolition work you need to let us know, in writing, at least six weeks before you are due to start. 

• A location plan of the building and adjoining streets must be provided together with a full method statement.
• Statutory undertakers should also be notified so they can arrange for their services to be properly sealed.
• The Environmental Health and Planning Divisions may also require consultation before the demolition of any building.
• The council will issue a counter notice specifying the requirements relating to the demolition.
