Joint Merseyside Waste Development Plan
The five local authorities in Merseyside are working together to produce a Joint Merseyside Waste Development Plan to drive the need for rapid changes in our approach to managing waste.
The five authorities are:
- Knowsley Council
- Liverpool City Council
- Sefton Council
- St Helens Council
- Wirral Council
The joint plan will include detailed development control policies and will identify sites and preferred areas for a range of waste management facilities.
It will form an integral part of the five authorities Local Development Frameworks (LDF).
