Energy efficiency

Knowsley Council provides information and advice on Home Energy Efficiency measures to help you save money on fuel bills and to make your home warmer and more comfortable.

Knowsley heat streets

Heat Streets is a scheme set up by the Council to ensure owner-occupiers and those who privately rent have the opportunity to benefit from improving energy efficiency in their homes. The scheme is targeted to neighbourhoods suffering from high levels of fuel poverty and ultimately will roll out across the Borough. Assistance towards the installation of thermal energy efficiency measures is available and between 50% and 100% Grant may be available depending on availability of Finances.

Warm front grant

Warm front grants are for people who own or privately rent their home and are on certain benefits. They are available to people who are 60 and over, have children under 16, are pregnant, are disabled, or have a long term illness. Only one grant is available for each home.

Call free on 0800 316 2814 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm).

In addition, externally funded schemes may also provide assistance for Energy Efficiency measures.
