Create an email account
If you do not have email you can set up a free account with a
number of reputable providers.
Google provide an email service called Google mail. It is free to
set up and you can access your emails using your chosen email
address and password from any computer or mobile devise with
internet access. If you do not have a computer at home you can
visit your local library to access your emails.
- Click here to sign up to Google mail.
- Complete all the required information to set up your account.
- When you have finished, click the grey button which states ‘I accept. Create my account’.
- In future, you can then access your emails by going to the Google Mail homepage: www.gmail.com
- Sign into your account by putting in your username and password and clicking the ‘sign in’ button (located on the right-hand side of the page).
Full help notes are available on the gmail website and please remember that once you have created your email account, it is advisable to make sure you access your email periodically. If you don’t use your email account, it will only stay active for 9 months before being removed.
