Future schooling in Knowsley is our vision for education across the borough for the 21st century.  We are aiming to create a world class education system with 21st century learning environments at the heart of local communities, in which schools:

• Support the needs of the child.
• Are responsive and adaptive to societal and economic change offering learning for all, alongside integrated child, youth and family services.
• Develop partnerships with wider community services.

By working together we will transform our education system and ensure a brighter future for children, young people and families in Knowsley.

Aims

Through future schooling in Knowsley we will:

• Build and maintain improved standards to enable every child to achieve and reach their full potential.
• Build on the strengths of our schools.
• Create learning environments for the 21st century.
• Develop system wide governance, leadership, and management arrangements suitable for 21st century schools.
• Provide appropriate, stable and sustainable learning environments that support teachers and learners.
• Promote, develop and support all schools to offer extended and co-located and intergrated provision, placing schools at the heart of the community and lifelong learning.
• Ensure an inclusive and joined-up approach to education in which every child matters.
