Adult education providers

Are you interested in enrolling on a course of study? It is never too late to learn new skills and gain confidence. Why not join the 5,000 other adults currently registered on courses. There are a number of ways you can start a course:

Knowsley Family and Community Edcuation (FACE)

FACE is a service that offers family and adult learning throughout Knowsley. They provide a friendly service where you can learn in a non-threatening environment. Courses are open to anyone over the age of 16. Visit their website for further information (see related links at the bottom of this page).

Learning In Neighbourhood Courses (L.I.N.C.)

There are over 100 L.I.N.C. centres throughout Knowsley and Sefton offering a wide range of courses such as computers, nursing, music and much more.

The LINC also offer a 16 hour per week 'Return to Learn' course, which prepares students for either employment or further study.

The courses are tailor-made and fit in with school hours. There is also a wide range of craft vocational courses on offer.

National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ's)

NVQ's are gained through college and individual systems. To find out more, contact:

Connexions

The Connexions Service is the new advice and guidance service in England for all 13 to 19 year olds. Connexions ensure that young people are able to get the help and support they need to reach their full potential and make an effective transition to work and adult life.

The key objective is to encourage more young people to stay in education or training, so that an increasing number have the qualifications they need for further education or the world of work.
