Public Consultation - Local Development Framework

Submission version of the Statement of Community Involvement

The council is required to produce a Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) under the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004. It will set out how the council will conduct consultation with regard to planning policy and planning applications.

On the 6 December 2006 the Council’s Cabinet approved the Submission version of the Statement of Community Involvement and this has been submitted to government office and the planning inspectorate for examination. Before the inspector conducts the examination a six week consultation will take place.

Note:The period of public consultation has now ended. It commenced on Thursday 1 January 2007 and ended Friday 16 March 2007.

To view the representations on the submission SCI, click on the link below. After the examination process the inspector will produce a binding report that will contain any changes the document requires. Once these have beenmade the Council will adopt the Statement of Community Involvement.

Copies of the submission version of the Statement of Community Involvement, its consultation statement and the form for making representations are available from the planning section of this website. Click on the link below to transfer to the relevant section.
