Buying services
Reasonable care and skill
This means the trader must carry out the service to a satisfactory standard using the care and skill you would expect from a trader holding themselves up to be an expert in their respective field.Within reasonable time
This means the work should not take an excessive amount of time E.g. A television should not take three months to repair. Furthermore, if you agree a set time to complete the job it should not take longer than this. For a reasonable price
If a price is agreed before the work is commenced this is what you should pay. If no price is agreed the trader cannot charge an excessive amount for the work done. He must charge a reasonable price.Estimates and quotations
An estimate is only a guess at the price so it can go up or down. The trader should not charge a great deal more than the original price given. A quotation is a fixed price for an agreed job and cannot be changed.Attachments
