Section 30 Orders

What is a designated section 30 area?
It is a specific area where the police have the power to:

  • break up groups of two or more people;
  • send under 16s  home; and
  • arrest anyone who ignores their instructions.

They are currently in place in the following areas:

Kirkby
Kennelwood Avenue to its junction with Roughwood Drive, along Roughwood Drive to its junction with Old Rough Lane, along Rough Lane to its junction with Minstead Avenue, up Minstead Avenue to its junction with Quarryside Drive, along Quarryside Drive to its junction with Bigdale Drive, along Bigdale Drive to its junction with Kennelwood Avenue.

It will include everywhere contained in this boundary. It will also include Abbey Close.

When does it apply?
The order applies between 5pm and 23.59pm everyday of the week for a period of six months starting on Friday 17 November 2006 and ending Sunday 20 May 2007.

Huyton
All areas outside Longview Shops in Huyton. Parbrook Road (between Woolfall Heath Avenue and Altbridge Road) and Altbridge Road, Huyton.

When does it apply?
The order applies between 4pm and 4am everyday of the week for a period of six months starting on 14 October 2006 and ending 12 April 2007.
