Knowsleys Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership aims to prevent and deter people from becoming involved in crime in the first place and has developed a number of targeted interventions for children, young people and their families:
- community strategies to challenge negative cultures such as non-school attendance
- positive diversionary activities
- high quality and accessible rehabilitative services
- enforcement action against persistent offenders
- drug and alcohol support services
- multi agency support for young offenders
- expansion of neighbourhood wardens and police community support officers
- active involvement of local people from reporting incidents of antisocial behaviour to mentoring young people involved in antisocial behaviour and crime.
We can all help to bring crime down by
securing our homes and cars. This will
also help the police by giving them
more time to tackle serious crime.
