Choice advice service

The choice advice service offers support to parents when your
child is:
- Ready to start reception
- Transferring from primary to secondary school or centre for
learning
- Moving schools during term time (mid year transfer)
Choosing a school can be a stressful time for you and your child
so we can help you through the admission process and encourage you
to think carefully about which school or centre for learning to
apply to.
Where can I find a choice adviser?
Your choice adviser will be visiting primary schools during the
summer and autumn term. Please look out for the date when the
choice adviser will be at your school. Your choice adviser attends
all the Knowsley secondary centre’s for learning open evenings and
is also available for one to one meetings throughout the year.
What can my choice adviser help me with?
We can help with:
- The admission system
- Completing the application form
- School policies
- Information about individual schools
- Online application form
- Information about oversubscribed schools
- Transport details
- School term dates
- School hours.
Please note, although we can provide you with information we
can’t make decisions for you.
