Town centre management
Knowsley Council is responsible for managing three town centres
in knowsley - Huyton, Prescot and Kirkby.
The aims of the Town Centre Management Service are:
- To bring together the public and private sector to work on
developing the town centres.
- To keep councillors, businesses and shoppers informed of new
developments and events in the town centres.
- To provide a safe environment for shoppers and businesses.
- To provide safe, clean and accessible car parks for short and long stay
visitors.
- To promote the town centres to attract new businesses and to
increase footfall.
- To provide a clean and pleasant environment.
- To organise events such as christmas lights switch on
ceremonies, speciality markets and street entertainment.
- To champion the town centres.
