If you keep certain types of animals or operate animal related businesses, you will need to obtain the relevant licence from the council. These include the following:

Animal boarding licence to keep animal boarding kennels.
A dog breeding licence for permission to breed dogs.
A licence to keep exotic, dangerous or wild animals.
The relevant licence for the movement of farm animals.
A licence to keep a pet shop.
A licence to run a horse riding establishment.
A licence to keep and run a zoo.
