Health and safety at work
If you run a business you must register with an
enforcement agency. This might be Knowsley
Council's Health and Safety Team or the Health and Safety
Executive (HSE), depending on the nature of your business.
Knowsley Council's Health and Safety
Team carry out regular checks on:
- Offices
- Shops
- Warehouses
- Places used for leisure
activities
- Non-industrial premises
The Health and Safety Executive deals with
factories and other industrial operations.
Regular checks ensure that safe and healthy
working conditions are provided for all employees, the
self-employed and members of the public visiting such premises.
